Defending the Rights of Every Child, Everywhere
Youth Justice Network believes that every child deserves safety, dignity, and a voice.
Yet across Pakistan, thousands of children face abuse, neglect, exploitation, and systemic failure every single day. From child trafficking in rural regions to abuse in religious and educational institutions, and from forced labor in factories to street children living without protection, the reality is heartbreaking and unacceptable.
Our Child Protection & Justice Department was founded to defend the most vulnerable and demand accountability from those responsible. We work to build a Pakistan where no child suffers in silence, where justice is swift, and where every institution is answerable for the welfare of the young.
To create a Pakistan free from child abuse, exploitation, and neglect, where every child can grow in safety, access justice, and realize their full potential.
Expose and challenge child abuse and trafficking networks through youth-led awareness and advocacy.
Hold institutions and officials accountable for negligence and misconduct.
Promote child rights education in schools, communities, and digital spaces.
Collaborate with policymakers to strengthen child protection laws and enforcement.
Support survivors through awareness, referrals, and safe advocacy platforms.
In 2025, YJN launched a major campaign demanding justice for victims of a child abuse and trafficking ring uncovered in Muzaffargarh. Through social media mobilization, petitions, and national awareness drives, we called on the Punjab government to ensure strict action against perpetrators, independent investigation, and systemic reforms to prevent such tragedies in the future.
This campaign became a national call for accountability and helped ignite dialogue about child protection failures across Pakistan.
An ongoing digital and community campaign aimed at educating parents, teachers, and youth on recognizing, preventing, and reporting child abuse. YJN teams conduct seminars, school talks, and social media campaigns to promote vigilance and community responsibility in protecting children.
Goal: A culture where abuse is not hidden, it is reported and prevented.
Recognizing the vulnerabilities children face within educational environments, YJN is working to ensure that schools become centers of safety, not silence.
We advocate for:
Child protection policies in all schools.
Teacher training on early warning signs.
Psychological support programs for affected children.
Strict background checks for all school staff.
In collaboration with volunteers and local communities, YJN runs awareness drives highlighting the realities of child labor in workshops, markets, and factories.
We advocate for strict enforcement of labor laws and support education as the alternative because no child should trade childhood for survival.
YJN is currently preparing a nationwide petition calling for:
The establishment of Child Protection Units in every district.
Implementation of digital reporting systems for abuse cases.
Legal reforms ensuring accountability of institutions found complicit in child neglect or exploitation.
The petition will be presented to both provincial assemblies and the Ministry of Human Rights.
YJN believes that true protection begins within communities. Our youth ambassadors conduct door-to-door awareness, local dialogues, and collaborative sessions with parents and teachers to break the silence around abuse and promote vigilance.
We also partner with civil society organizations and child protection authorities to improve coordination between communities and official response mechanisms.
To address the roots of child exploitation, YJN engages in policy research and advocacy, focusing on:
Loopholes in existing child protection laws.
Gaps in police and judicial response mechanisms.
Integration of child rights in national education curricula.
Our policy division under the Centre for Politics and International Studies (POLIS) produces reports and recommendations to guide future reforms and ensure children’s rights remain a policy priority.
Launch of a National Youth-Led Child Protection Forum, connecting schools, universities, and NGOs.
Introduction of a “Child Watch” Reporting App for safe and anonymous reporting of abuse.
Development of a YJN Survivor Support Network to connect victims with legal, emotional, and social assistance.
Expansion of awareness programs to all provincial capitals and rural districts.
Annual publication of a Child Rights & Justice Report.
